Sparks Tree Care is led by Ian, a 444A certified arborist, built on a simple belief: tree work should be done right, safely, skillfully, and with respect for both the tree and your property.

We hold the 444A Arborist certification, the provincial trade designation issued by Skilled Trades Ontario. Earning it means completing a registered apprenticeship of roughly 6,120 hours and passing a provincial exam. In other words, it’s government-regulated, tested proof of competence, not just a membership.

That training shows up in the work. Ian doesn’t just cut trees, he understands them: when a tree can be saved, how to prune it for long-term health, and how to remove it safely when that’s the right call.

He also brings the right equipment to every job, including a chipper/mulcher and dump-style mulch truck for fast, tidy cleanup and debris haul-away, plus the climbing and rigging gear to take down large trees in tight spaces where machinery simply can’t reach. For the biggest takedowns, a crane is brought in when that’s the safest way to do the job.
